Installation fails with white page
System:
Vanilla 2.0.16
PHP 5.3.3 with all required modules
FreeBSD 8.1
MySQL 5.1.51
Steps:
1. Create blank DB with username and password
2. Set correct chmod values on dirs
3. Run Vanilla setup
4. Enter all DB detail and admin detail
5. Hit "Continue"
6. White page appears
Extra info:
1. DB gets populated with tables and data
2. I noticed in the file conf/constants.php the
// Environment
define('ENVIRONMENT_PHP_VERSION','5.2.0'); - Setting it to define('ENVIRONMENT_PHP_VERSION','5.3.3'); makes no difference
3. I did set the RewriteBase to /forum in .htaccess
4. No errors in any system errorlog

Any way to put the install process in debug mode or something to generate logs?
