Use Vanilla as wordpress comments

Instead of using the default wordpress comments, can I use vanilla? I noticed vanilla has embed but not sure if that can serve for this purpose.

I am also interested in this. Any idea if this could be done? Have Wordpress automatically create a new discussion in Vanilla when a new post is made, and display the related comments on the wordpress post page?
