Hook or configuration to bypass HTMLawed for administrators/moderators

In my forum set up, only admins/mods can post topics, all other only comment. I would like to give admins/mods the ability to post things which HTMLawed prohibits. Is there a hook I can add to the htmlawed plugin so that it only effects members? Or some kind of configuration which for admins/mods bypasses that plugin?
