why are various pages coming up blank?

just got a fresh install of vanilla... after checking thru the admin, i posted a message and after doing so, there was no confirmation... just a blank white page. now, when i click 'messages' in the dashboard, there it is again... a blank white page. so i decided to try to post topics... that was successful but with each post there's no confirmation, just a blank white page. i still don't even know what a vanilla forums confirmation page looks like. go to the topics i've posted now and guess what....? blank white pages. this is a fresh install so... what's going on?

@mrnanotrax what happens after you clear the cache files?

where is that done? browsed thru the admin and don't see anything that says "clear cache"

@mrnanotrax Go to your vanilla folder on your server and look for the cache folder.

cache cleared, same thing.... i'm surprised there isn't a simple explanation for this :-(

did a fresh install with an older version... was going thru setup and created a message, that was successful. now, i go back to the admin dashboard and click 'messages'... guess what? BLANK WHITE SCREEN. what is the deal???

i really like the IDEA of this software but could someone inform me on how to get support for it? am i posting my problem incorrectly? in the wrong place?

turns out this may be because my server is on Apache1 when vanillaforums requires Apache2. anyone know if this is a possible cause for this issue?

Yes apache 2 is required to run vanilla 2. You may also want to check if your host has all the other requirements also.

I get this problem, too. I don't think the problem is my web server. I have two domains hosted on the same server. The first install works flawlessly, the second install does what it sounds like your install is doing.
