From the dashboard -> [Messages can appear anywhere in your application, and can be used to inform your users of news and events.]

Is there a way to auto expire/disable messages? Post a message and then auto expire after 3, 5, or 10 days or a month?

    Hmm. Not right now. But that's a great idea. Would actually be great to let them have a date range to appear from and to, optionally.

    Any idea how I can change where the message appears. I would prefer it within the head instead of the content.

    Messages are currently reworked in the unstable branch. So you'd better hold off on your changes.
    But it doesn't prevent anybody to provide info :)
