Enable API?

Hello, i installed vanilla locally and created some themes and topics, but i can't find how i can enable api access to my forum.

i tried:
http://localhost/vanilla/discussions.xml

where:
http://localhost/vanilla
is root isntallation dir but it doesn't exist

I assume you don't have Pretty URL-s enabled. What you should be looking at is:
http://localhost/vanilla/index.php?p=discussions.xml
