Categories not visible to guests
First, let me say that I've searched the forums for this already and while I found a number of posts about it, the proposed solutions do not seem to apply to the latest version of Vanilla (or maybe my installation is broken somehow).
I'm working on a new Vanilla site and have a handful of test posts and categories in place. Posts were not visible to "guest" (ie, not logged in) users until I realized that this is off by default, for some reason. I enabled it by going into Roles and Permissions -> Guest and checking the "Discussions" box under the "Vanilla" heading. It was unchecked previously.
So now posts are visible but categories are not. If I log in, I can see the list of categories and post count in the sidebar. If I log out, I only see "All Discussions: 0".
Various posts here suggest going back into Roles and checking the Categories box for guest users, but this does not exist on my installation. The only thing under the Vanilla heading is "Discussions", which I've already enabled.
I'm using the latest Vanilla release, 2.0.16.
Where should I look to fix this?
