How to report bugs?

I found some bugs in latest stable version, how to report them? I couldn't find bugtrack for vanilla...

  • If you post it here, others can tell you if they are having the same problem to confiirm it's a bug or maybe it's just an issue somewhere else. Just my opinion.

We've got an announced thread right on the front page called "How to post your problem"...

    http://www.vanillaforums.org/discussion/13764/how-to-post-your-problem

It even mentions that if you think its a bug, go post it at github (with a link).

  • Yes, I'm aware of that. The problem is, there's not much activity in github. I always think it's better with more eyes than less. Take for example this post I created: http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/14103/sign-in-with-google-plugin-not-working

Those that run into the same thing will be aware it's a problem. They all see it in the community. Will they know how to hunt it in github? For end users, probably not and will not even try. To be honest, it's intimidating, and I don't know what all of it means over there.

That's fine, but there are 5-7 people who fix bugs:

    Mark
    Todd
    Tim
    Lincoln
    Johnsimpson
    TiGR
    ??

They all use GitHub. If we have to hunt through this forum looking for issues, they wont get found. Everything in GitHub is something we know is a bug. So if you want a developer to look at it and not be forgotten, post in GitHub.
