htaccess problem

Aside from the fact that if you put a .htaccess in a dir it allows you to view those files and only effects the contents on the subfolders, if you dont know the password to enter the subfolders, it re-asks you indefinately and i cant find a way to escape.

    I was thinking of the one where Kirk destroys the computer by putting it into an infinite loop.

    I never watched the original series, my brother was addicted to them but I found them highly annoying for some reason. Given I was pretty young at the time. I only caught on to STNG in my teens.
