Export forum data for use in a different forum?

Is it possible to export my Vanilla forum data in CSV or similar for re-importing into a different forum tool like VBulletin? Is there any other way to preserve the data for display elsewhere? Thanks in advance for any ideas or help!

    ...use a MySQL Tool, connect to your DB, export the data as csv, modify to match destination rows (f.eg. Vbulletin), import to other forum. ?
