Wordpress plugin changes various text fields in Wordpress Admin

edited January 2011 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8
Hmmm. I thought I posted this before but now I can't find it with a search. After installing the Embed Vanilla Wordpress plugin, the slug edit field in Wordpress is compressed/skinny and the "Edit" and "View Page" buttons overlap the slug edit field.

I tested it by disabling the plugin and the slug edit field went back to normal. Then I re-enabled it and the glitch came back.

Here are two screenshots of what I mean:

Has anyone else noticed this?

I found another post that mentioned this same problem: http://vanillaforums.org/discussion/14532/a-few-basic-features-lacking-wp-plugin-issue/p1

After I posted my discussion above, I found a few other sections of my Wordpress Admin area where the text box fields were also affected, mostly showing up much smaller than they used to. I don't understand how the plugin could affect that? But it definitely goes back to normal if I disable the Vanilla Wordpress plugin, and the problem appears again if I re-enable it.

For other people using the Wordpress plugin, is it affecting any parts of your admin screen?

Same for me including widget text boxes.

Sorry to keep bringing this up, but I noticed that it also changed the font in my page HTML edit fields from Verdana to some kind of Courier font. Ew.

I'm sure you have a lot of pressing issues and fixes to work on, but for all of the announcements around being able to embed Vanilla into Wordpress, I find it a bit troubling that the plugin affects the Wordpress Admin area.

I can't help but wonder what other other parts of the Admin area are affected that I haven't discovered yet. Just makes me a bit nervous. Is this even on the radar screen?

Gotta use the mentions @mark @tim so they key into it. Looks like a proper bug of some kind.

Hmm. It shouldn't be adding our CSS unless it is on our admin page. Will investigate.
