Hi,

After much researching I have decided to go for vanilla.

My hosting company allows making me subdomains and map to any folder inside root. Subdirectory is another great method.

Gtricks.com is my main blog running over wordpress and I can go with either forum.gtricks.com or gtricks.com/forum.

personally I like sub-directory scheme for obious reasone but worried about cookies and server sessions on a single domain for 2 complete different platforms.

What is vanilla staff view on this? For which scheme I should go?

Vanilla works equally well as a subdomain or subdirectory. There are config variables for defining the Cookie Domain and Cookie Path if you end up experiencing cookie conflicts, but you really shouldn't need to mess with those for 99.9% of cases.

Thanks Time for quick and precise answer.

So, I will probably make it as sub-directoy for SEO reasons. What are your views on it?
