No page numbers at the bottom? (default theme)

My discussion limit is set to 30 per page.

Once my site goes over 30 discussions, the older discussions just disappear.

There are no page numbers at the bottom letting users know there are more discussions.

How do I add page numbers to the bottom of the discussion page?

I'm running the default theme.

Are you still missing the page numbers after you change the number of discussions? I've tried it myself and can see multiple pages listed.
