Email doesn't work

Hi, I just installed Vanilla and embedded it into our site, but it doesn't send any emails when users get registered. Is there anything I need to do to switch it on? If yes, where?

Dashboard - Registration - Tick Approval - Save.

I hope that's what you meant. If not, vanilla should still be sending emails to new users when they register even if the method is set to basic.

I meant: It is not sending any emails to anyone. Not after registration, and not after approval...

I am also not getting an email when someone registers, is this normal? I have to go to my dashboard and click on applicants to find out if anyone has tried to register. I have the above checked in registration
