First of all, great app guys, I've used all the other big forum software but Vanilla is definitely my favorite so far (and OSS!).
Anyways, I'm configuring a Vanilla instance and one of the ideas someone floated is the ability to post as a certain user type without registering. Basically, they want anyone to be able to go to the forum and post or reply to discussions, but instead of requiring registration, they just want a dropdown with some predefined groups (something like Student, Professor, etc) that the user can select, and it will post as that group.
Is there a plugin to currently accomplish this? I've been looking through the forums and add-ons but haven't found anything, maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot?
