A way to have "boards" with Vanilla?

Hello I am a new Vanilla user and I installed it with SimpleScripts in my Fatcow Control Panel. I am coming from SMF, and I was wondering if there was a way for me to have main categories or boards on the homepage. So I could have the Category "Samsung" and as a child-board I would have "Nexus S" and the child boards of that would be "General," "Questions and Answers," and "Root" My forum is androidtalk.us. An example of a site with this layout would be http://forum.xda-developers.com/

I saw how to get a sidebar with the categories, I just want my users to only have the ability to post a discussion in a category.

Doing this will make Vanilla look like a traditional forum.
