Root category behavior suggestion
I like that you can decide that root categories won't be displayed as headings, and thus won't show messages or be clickable, with "Display root categories as headings".
However, I have some root-level categories (without children) that I don't want to display as headings. And, I have some root categories that have children but I do want those to display as headings. This single global setting isn't sufficient to support this use case.
I don't think all or nothing for root categories is flexible enough. Perhaps a per category override setting would enable a more flexible behavior permitting my example and other scenarios people might have.
