[Solved] Cannot get List of Recent Activity to work

I was trying to get a list of recent activity using the WP Vanilla forums plugin. In widgets.php under vf_widget_activities() it looks like it uses the path http://www.domain.com/path/to/vanilla/?p=activity.json, but on my system that path returns a file not found.

Can someone tell me what the correct way to get at this data is?

    I realize the problem here is that I have activity hidden from guests. Since widgets.php is using a .json file, and that file is accessible to everyone, Vanilla is not populating it.
