ecommerce site needs integrated forum for customers

I have a ecommerce site I'm readying for biz and would like to integrate Vanilla 2 as the store forum. store is built on a php includes.The cart presently has support for PHPbb.
can this be done ?
when customer registers at the store he is prompted to choose a (forum username)

    Embed looks like the answer and forget about prompts to select forum username from within customer registering at store site.
