User profiles gone in mobile theme - 2.0.17.8

What/where do I edit to make my (and users) profile/s accessible in the mobile theme. For some reason it breaks - i.e. there is no interface to change pics/prefs on profiles on the front end. Works fine in my installs for other themes, just not the mobile.

thanks if anyone can answer, or can point me in the rt direction. I looked high and low for this being discussed elsewhere and came up empty.

Mobile theme as all mobile theme for every site has less options that full fledge site.

As of yet, you can only see the profile.
