Inbox on mobile theme - cannot start conversations?

How does this work on the mobile theme, I can see the inbox on a mobile device but cant initiate conversations, its OK on the desktop when another theme is selected.
This would be VERY useful as more mobile devices are being used, is there a quick way round this?

    Ok found it, bit confusing, the new discussion button is the same as the new conversation button, added a new button image and relinked in class.mobilethemehooks.php
