claim a discussion

Hey , Is there any way the user can claim individual discussion ? and show the claimed persons name in the all discussions page next to the title of the discussion?

I can play around fairly with php but new to vanilla
I understand that I may need a add-on , any ideas from you will definitely help.
do you know any addon that does similar things ?
