Localization problem

I've found a Russian translation of Vanilla but when I installed it, all the English letters became question marks (???) instead of Russian ones.

What's wrong?

    Sounds like a problem with the charset designated by the headers. Or a problem with a charset on your pc. Assuming you can browse other russian sites fine i'd suggest you look towards the init_header.php file and check the correct charset for russian is being passed, though i thought this one had been sorted once and for all.
