Is Vanilla 2.0.18 split not working?

Can someone tell me if I am doing something wrong, please?

I'm trying out Vanilla 2.18, and I can get threads to merge OK, but not split.

When I tick the boxes in a discussion I see the 'you have selected X comments', but when I choose 'Split' the dialogue box tells me I hvae chosen 0 comments.

It goes on to create a new Discussion, and the new discussion says ti was created from a split, but the comments don't come over, and aren't deleted from the original either.

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but I've searched and couldn't find anything.

    We are still working through some bugs in split merge. We may move the plugin out of the core and into our addons repository so it won't affect the release.
