Clicking "Post Comment" doesn't add comment to discussion

For some reason, the forum has started to not post a comment when a user clicks "Post Comment". Instead, it shows the loading "blocks" forever. If one navigates away from the page, they will find their post has indeed been added to the discussion.

This new post will say "1 New - (username)", despite the fact that they were the one who posted it.

Any ideas. It's not a theme issue (I tried many themes with the same issue). I'm running 2.0.17.9.

    Solved (I think) - I believe it was the "Vanilla Anti Spam" plugin. Sigh.
