How add the widget only on homepage

I main page in the form of categories / discussions, her messages are divided into categories (looks like http://vanillaforums.org/categories/discussions). How to do just this main page of the widget (the message side / top), so it will not appear on other pages, such discussions?

    Go to Dashboard -> Homepage -> Select 'Categories & Discussions' -> Save

    I want on this page (http://site.com/categories/discussions) show widget (text message, like on this site - "Vanilla 2.0.18b2 is now available! Download it here and get more information about it here.") But only on the main page (that is http://site.com/categories/discussions) you know?

    For example, on the main page of site (_http://adress of site/categories/discussions) shown welcome message above topics (like this : "Welcome to forum, have a nice day")/
    But this message must displayed only on page _http://adress of site/categories/discussions.
    On other pages of site (for example _http://adress of site/discussions) this welcome message should not be display. you know?
