Real WP Integration?

edited July 2011 in Feedback
Is there any possibility for *real* wordpress integration. The current plugins just load stand-alone vanilla in an iFrame. That's kind of a fail - with just a couple clicks, users can find themselves with a homepage inside a homepage. Have I just missed the plugin that actually integrates VanillaForums without having to use two separate admin web apps, populates vanilla user data when a wordpress account is created, and loads vanilla forums as a wordpress page (without using iFrames)?

Okay - kind of answering my own question. There is a wordpress plugin for "deep embedding" of vanilla forums. It is located here:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/vanilla-forums/

This is an improvement - can display discussions in wp widgets. It still uses an iFrame to display the actual forum though. Wish there was a better way.
