Slow Queries

I filed a bug report documenting slow queries I found awhile ago, but I've yet to get any feedback from developers.

This is a huge issue as times goes on the forum gets slower and slower, with a forum user base of 6k+ it's frustrating to try and explain random slowdowns/lockups when users simply view others profile pages among other common activities.

    Is there at least an option to completely disable activities, since that seems to be a major source of issues and I feel it adds nothing to my forum?
