    Unrelated note:

Now that Vanilla supports using multiple text formatters at once, the Smilies part should probably be broken off into it's own extension.
  • do you know of an available smilies extension?
  • is this for my version? v0.9.2.6? i just replace the BBcode in the extensions witrh this'?
  • sorry for the stupid questions, do i add just the folder in the rar file or the whole rar file into the extensions folder?

It should work in 0.9.2 just fine.

Move the stuff from the extensions folder in the rar to the extensions folder in your forum.

Move the stuff from the images folder in the rar to the images folder in your forum.

    The other files are optional.
  • bergamot you are the best!!!! thank you!!!!!
  • bergamot although i enabled the bbcode and smilies from the manage extensions it is not working... i can't see any smilies... do you know why?
  • Are your posts set as BBcode? (in the little buttons below the text box)
  • yes selected is BBcode.
  • by the way the should i also the smiles css file ? because it was not in the folders you told me to upload

hmmmm, this is going to make me look like such a retarded person but here it goes... when we say smilies we mean that i have to actually do this :) for a smilie and get the actual smilie, or the BBcode i added should include under the comment box actual smilies?
  • The smilies.css file, as far as I can tell, is only used in the sample html file.

I've never used this extension, so I don't guarantee that it does anything, but it *should* turn :-) into a smiley gif.
  • do you know who is the author of this extension?
  • It should read in the header of the extension file, no?
