[Solved] Unable to change Authenticator

edited August 2011 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8
Hey guys, I'm brand new to vanilla, liking it so far, but having a problem.

My goal is to allow users to sign on with Facebook, and have Vanilla create an account for them (like it did on this forum when I signed in with my facebook account). I have the Facebook integration up and running, but I can't change the authenticator to Facebook.

Under Authenticator is says: "Current Authenitcator: Password"
Down below I click Configure Authenticator, and choose Facebook, which brings up my Facebook settings. I then click activate, and then the page reloads, but the current Authenticator is still set to Password.

Is there a way to fix this? Or is there a work around, perhaps a config file I can edit to manually change the authenticator?

Nevermind, it works. I just expected current authenticator to change to Facebook when I hit activate, but it looks like after activating Facebook, now Passsword and Facebook are both authenticators. I suppose it would be nice if after activating a new authenticator it gave some indication that it was succesful.

  • +1 to feedback when switching authenticator. I experienced the same thing and was never quite sure if my changes we're applied.
