[ReSolved] "Bonk" after upgrading to BETA 2.0.18

edited August 2011 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8
I followed the instructions for upgrading at: http://vanillaforums.org/docs/installation-upgrade but when I append /utility/update to my url I get "Bonk Something funky happened. Please bear with us while we iron out the kinks.". I don't even see a "utility" directory at my install path. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

  • After a BONK error you follow the following page to show more information
    http://vanillaforums.org/docs/errors
If you don't see a "utility" directory in your install path, doublecheck whether you have "utility" directory in your upgrade (zip)file that you downloaded.

  • Thanks for the post!

Nope no utility directory in my zip either. It isn't in the version 2.0.17.10 zip I downloaded either. Just so I'm clear I'm looking in the root, is it in a sub directory? I browsed all the dirs and I didn't see it but I could've missed it I guess.

Can you look in the .zip file for 2.0.18 beta please? I think it's in there either in the files to upload or in a separate directory.

  • I ended up deleting everything and installing the beta version. Looks like everything is working now. Thanks for taking the time to help out!
