How do we highlight forum member from our company?

edited August 2011 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8
We're thinking of using a vanilla forum for our customer community, and we'd like to be able to make our employees' profiles different from others. What's the best way to do this?

  • Well, there are plugins which display the user roles... Haven't tried them but here are two.

you could add a new role called 'staff' or 'employee' and use have that displayed, though if you are looking to customize the profile page itself that may be difficult.

There is also my 'about me' plugin, which allows for some more detailed information on the profile pages

All three could probably be customized a bit more to your tastes.

Really good idea! You could do a bunch of things based on the roles, as zodiacdm said. Question is whether you would like to use the plugins (recommended) or customize the code (or make new plugin yourself)
    Interesting topic!
