I got my first Spam post today, how to prevent*

Hi Guys,

I think got my first spam post today. i noticed a weird thread that was created today that wasn't tagged with any category, so i doubled check the guys ip (188.143.232.25) in google and indeed it came out as a spam ip. a bit scared now. anyone else experienced this, or knows how to prevent?

Well, we're experiencing spam posts here on the forum too, but for the rest I couldn't imagine how those guys are doing it. I still think someone is manually posting the spam.

SFS is indeed using known spam ip to prevent posting.
vf.org is using it, and as UnderDog said, I also do think it's someone (a human) posting the spam manually here.

thanks Luc and UnderDog. i installed the SFS, now it saves me time.

I previously block ip via .htaccess but it's too time consuming.
