installing a new style

I need more guides on how to install a style. To install a new style, I copy the folder into /style/ and changed the 'Default style folder' to the new folder but it is still reading from the 'vanilla' default style... Currently, I need to overwrite the default 'vanilla' for my new style. Did I miss out something? Help needed, thanks.

    Um, I've been to your site, and the other theme seems to be working great.

    I have only one theme, which I overwrite the default 'vanilla' folder. if i use other theme, it wouldn't show. :(

    Ahh, I see. I guess I'm not really the one to be asking, since I essentially did the same thing you did.
