HTML Plugin Confusion

I'm pretty confused about the usage of HTMLPurifier and HTMLawed. First question is which should I use? I added HTMLPurifier but then noticed in the config file that HTMLLawed was already installed. However, HTMLawed doesn't show up in the plugins section of the admin. It says I have 4 plugins enabled but only lists 3. I do however see the HTMLawed config line in config.php.

So is HTMLlawed installed by default in Vanilla? Is it working properly even if its not showing up correctly in the plugins section of the admin? Is there a reason I should be using HTMLpurifier instead?

HTMLawed is enabled by default and hidden. We do this to "protect people from themselves" so to speak. Don't worry, it's working fine. You can test it by trying to put a script tag in a post.

I wouldn't enable HTMLPurifier unless you are a hardcore HTMLPurifier fan.
