How to get email when someone comments on your activity?

Most of the times, users dont come back to see any comments on their activity or their forum inbox. How could I make sure that when someone comments on their activity or sends a message in vanilla forum, then also receive actual mail in already provided mail.

    We all forum webmasters will love this feature. Please incorporate this request in next vanilla release.
