Update from 1.1.8?

i have an old forum inv ersion 1.1.8. Is it possible to update it directly to a recent version? I found Upgrade your Vanilla Forum but the steps don't fit to 1.1.8

You can use the Vanilla Porter to export your forum data from 1.* and import it into a fresh install of Vanilla 2.*.
