Custom Pages

Ok I am working through some Custom Pages for a theme we are doing, and I have created the routes etc all Good.

But, I wanted to set home page as one of the Custom Pages. Problem is forum BONKS out when we do this.

Wondered what I am doing wrong.

Lets say forum url is mysite.com/this-forum

In Dashboard
I have set Home Page to: mysite.com/this-forum/portfolio

But doesnt like this method. Is there a way of fixing this ?

    the problem lies sometimes we user url as /pages/ but the original is /page/

    if we route or access page with /pages/ it will give bonk error

    isnt it going to be something like

    mysite.com/this-forum/pages/pageName

    ?????????????

    or you have internally routed it????
