Idiot's Guide to Vanilla 1.7 to 1.8 upgrade?
I've downloaded vanilla ver 1.8 and would like to upgrade, but after reading the readme file with instructions, I'm still a little confused, and I really don't want to brick my forum. One question I have is should I upload the new version of vanilla over the old one? If so, it seems I'll be hosed if something goes wrong. But if I backup, and then replace with the new version, will my conversations be missing?
I really need an idiot's guide, if is willing to walk me through the process.
Thanks,
Paul
