    You either:

    1. Thought you cleared the cache, but didn't.
    2. Didn't copy all of the files.
    3. Didn't give your webserver read permission on the files.
    4. Have gremlins on your webserver.

I am running into this issue as well. Fresh install, no posts yet. Came back the next day to log in and got the same error. Cleared cache to no avail. Completely reinstalled the forum, database fresh. Same thing happened 2 days later with no use. Double checked that all the files copied, and each time it ran after installing. Thus far, we can't get this to work at all. Any ideas?

So you doublechecked if you copied all files and cleared the cache. Did you doublecheck nr's 3 and 4?
