SSO Walkthrough?

I'm trying to incorporate vanilla forums into my website www.midnightswan.com, but I'm having a bit of trouble with most of the manual setup. Is there a step-by-step guide for manually setting up SSO? If not, can someone give an example of the code needed to set up everything? I'm stuck on cookies and Authentication URL. It would very much appreciated if anyone could help me out. Thanks.

The subdomain for my forums is forum.midnightswan.com
