Admin notification on new posts ?
Hi, we run a Vanilla forum and we need the admin to get notified, when there are new posts posted on the forum.
Where do I find this option ?

Also, why there is no button for SUBSCRIBE TO THREAD for the logged in members ?
They are simply lost , and complaining.
The 'favorite' button (Star) allows to mark a discussion, which then appears in favorites tab. Then the 'New messages' allows to see discussions with new comments.
Are you looking for email notifications for favorites ?
How would a member know, if that star mark is for notifications subscription ?
Thats what, Im saying. Not user friendly.
There should have a small button or option or text atleast.
And Im mainly asking about the admin notifications on new posts.
So... change the favorite star to a button for your users
Then when they've hit that button and the thread is favorited, they will get notified.

You can probably make a plugin for that.
Whenever a new post (or comment, which is different) is inserted (that's the function) an event will be fired.
You have to hook into that event to send notification to anyone you'd like
Just like is done at the moment with a favorited post.
