Month Translation Terror

Hi everbody,

I do really have serious problems to understand the translation of the months in your preferred language (german).

I'd love to see a simple solution like having the month names in the locale.php or much better a complete DATE & TIME settings panel in the backend.

I tried various tips brought here by others on the forum, but still, i can't really make it out by adding

setlocale(LC_ALL,'de_DE.UTF-8', 'german', 'de'); to definitions.php or else.

Thanx for help, and can we have real implemented thing in the future?
