i want add my own home page

i created a my awn home page using html.

1. i uploaded the html i n my local host (ex; mydomain.com/index.html)
2. i went to the dashboard and select home page option
3. then i edit it as " www.mydomain.com/index.html "
4. but page not displayed

please help me....

No no no, you are going in a wrong direction.
First, use a custom page plugin or application like vanillaCMS then create your custom homepage then link it in Hompage section in dashboard.
