    check the application paths against those you will typically find in your ftp client, 9 in 10 times they path correctly. Then double check to make sure you have your permissions set correctly upon files in your /appg/ folder. If you don't have a mysql database, create one or have your sysadmin create one for you. your database password (and quite possibly the location of the database) could differ from your login. if the username and password are correct for the database, localhost is likely your database path, if that fails, ask them why :)
