Category dropdown gone in "ask a question" menu

All of a sudden, category dropdown menu to select where to post is gone.

I checked permissions of posting members and they are OK.

settings > categories "Do not display the categories in the side panel." is unchecked

I upgraded to 2.0.18 and is fixed now. Thanks
