User list and "default to categories".

Hello, I've been using vanilla for about 2 hours now and I have to say, it's pretty nice. It's very different from other forums I've used but in a good way. After installing it and getting used to the interface I'm left with two begging questions (after searching the documentation). 1. How do you add/enable a user list that would allow other users and myself to see who is registered with the board? 2. Is there a way to switch the "default page" from 'discussions' to 'categories'? I like the discussion section though I feel it might be confusing/awkward for users as the community begins to grow. Thanks for any help or direction with these questions.

User list is easy: Go to the search tab, select the "users" radio and run the search. Then save that search as "Users" and it will appear in the side panel from that point forward. The categories as default is more difficult. It's been so long since I've worked with 0.9.2 that I can't remember if or how it is possible. All I can tell you is that in the new version coming out soon, you can do it as an admin setting. Maybe someone else can field this one for 0.9.2 users.

Perfect! Thanks a lot Mark that helped a lot. As far as the catagories being default that's something I can wait for. By the way, will the "preview post" option be a feature in the new version, or is that just an extension this board uses?
