What?
...
the messages that you place on the front of the forms, configured in here, vanilla/index.php?p=/dashboard/message
I want to place it outside the forum ...
Dashboard is your admin area.

I WANT TO SHOW THE "MESSAGES" DEFINED IN THAT AREA, ON THE FRONT PAGE OF MY WEBSITE, NOT JUST IN THE VANILLA SUB DIRECTORY
what is the front page of your website? is it part of the vanilla application? doesn't sound like it from your description. There isn't going to be an easy way to display just the message content from vanilla in a different web application...

It is not the same app, it is my code as a front page
You would have to dissect the code in vanilla that displays the banner messages, then re-create it in your web page....
sounds like an exercise in futility unless you have plenty of coding experience.
I would recommend you re-organize your game plan and just try to use a custom page in vanilla as the index page for the forum and let vanilla do the work for you.

I can't get custom pages to work though
sounds like a topic for another discussion.
You should explain what you have done and what is happening. I use custom pages on my forum and they work swimmingly, so the code is functional.

I did, but nobody helped me
I put the files in my plugins folder and it won't show it in the plugins area
Ok, i got it to work, but it will only allow php pages, my website was already made in html, i tried to flip it to php, but it distorts the webpage, that option is gone now
maybe you could post a screen grab of the directory structure of something. the dashboard just reads through the folders and picks up the files in it's immediate sub-directories.

you can return straight html from the php file. but it will be layered into the site theme so it blends nice.

Yes, that distorts my website
try shifting from a free host to a proper host, where you can control every aspect of your site.

I am on a "proper host"
care to share an example of this distortion?

Ok , I will reply, but after your earlier shouting.. I am wondering why i am bothering. But here goes.
You are with /www.hosting24.com
Which in itself isnt bad, but your main site css is incorrectly configured
Your site ( master ) is not compliant with w3c if you check .
Further the coding of the main site, really needs to be set out correctly, so that you can then integrate functionality back and forth to vanilla.
Vanilla can really make your site sing, but you do need to get your ducks in order first. Conquer your main site, and then dovetail good functionality such as Vanilla in. OR...
Perhaps use vanilla as your master site, set at root level, and use custom pages to proactively add content.
We are here to help, but for some reason some dudes that come on here think the lack of coherant answers to ambiguos questions becomes a fault of ours.
More than happy to help, but you really need to help us help you
