doesn't really work for me. I have the same problem as Underdog, need clear both;
I think as we read left to right, I always find that left sidebar make thing feel really claustrophobic especially on a forum.
The style is basically the same, it mostly the layout, and the menu is back how it was with. he drop drop down. I would do the same but generate menu on the fly form the links. TBH i quite liked the simplicity too of just having the links. So I'm on the fence on that one.
I remember the first version of the menu before it was rewritten didn't really work (well it worked ont he first click and not after, it was a while before there was a solution. However on the discussions just the link was cool.

I'd agree with that, but it's easy enough to change.
Plus this definitely feels like a beta... not even that, more like an alpha, most everything is broken.
however they have more vanilla/organic colouring which I approve of.
I wonder why they are working on the production site, though.
