Approval email notification not working

I enabled this plugin a couple days ago. I received a few member requests after enabling the plugin, but didn't get any notification. I have tried configuring the admin's email address as a recipient, and then changed it to my personal email address. But in both cases, I didn't receive any notification I'm using Vanilla 2.0.18.3. I have been getting other notifications from the forum.

Has it been working for anyone? What can I do to troubleshoot it?
